Felt Giveaway!!

Wednesday, June 27, 2012

I was just at my computer giggling to myself. Jake asked me what was funny and I told him "I'm funny" and shared the line I planned to start this post with, "I felt like doing a felt giveaway today!"

He didn't laugh. I'll toss the cheesy line out but I'll keep the giveaway!

In the past year, felt has become one of my favorite craft mediums to work with. I really fell in love with it when I got my hands on some wool felt. The colors are so vibrant, it's a natural product, it doesn't pill and it holds up great when stitched!

To share the love, I'm giving away a stack of 60 4"x4" pieces of 100% wool felt! This bundle has every color you could ever need and the size is perfect for embroidery projects or felt badges.

Want to win this pretty pile? Just leave a comment telling me about a felt project you've made or would like to make. If you are a follower, leave two comments and double your chances to be victorious!! Please be sure to include a way for me to reach you. I will be randomly selecting a winner on Saturday July 7th.

Not into felt? Don't worry. I have another giveaway planned that might be more up your alley. Stay tuned!

I've been toying with making a felt alphabet wall for the little baby thing I'm growing to play with. I imagine a big area on the wall, all those colors would make very awesome letters!! Love the idea of using craftiness to inspire learning for this little one :)

And with all those pieces, I could even make each letter two colors, one on each side, and make them a little puffy! Ooh the ideas are a go-ing!

I've been making (and enjoying) little felt fairies with my cousins since last summer. All those wonderful colors make up for some more whimsy fun!

At my library we are doing an event for 'Banned Books Week' and stitching covers of banned books. Felt would be great for making easy appliques of the images on the book covers.

I am an embroiderer and librarian and this felt would be a good thing for our library.

I have just made a cute toadstool pincushion for a friend, it even has her door number embroidered on it. Thank you for an amazing giveaway. I have never used wool felt before as I have a wool allergy but my daughter is doing textiles at school and this would be perfect for her.

Eeeek! All those colours are amazing!!! A favorite project I made was an owl tape measure cover - it is sooooo cute, the only problem is that I didn't have any 100% wool felt, and I just know that it won't wear out with use as nicely as wool... oh well, I still love it!

I just found you through craft gossip. I also have a blog. I have made felt cookies, felt pizza, felt breadsticks a felt racetrack, and a felt alphabet. These are all gifts I make my niece and nephews.

If I won this felt. I would learn how to make more felt food. The felt pizza I made my niece is getting very used, so I would make her another pizza.

Also, I am learning how to make felt flowers. I have been making headbands for my friends little girl.

Felt is now one of my favorite medium to work with. It has replaced fun foam.

I've always made Christmas ornaments and stockings, but now I'd like to try my hand at mobiles for a baby's nursery. I have several pregnant friends and this would be a nice addition, I believe.

Thanks for the great giveaway!

I have a beautiful "Princess" granddaughter, Chloe and she loves to have flowers and clips in her hair. It would be wonderful to make lots of die-cut posies for her outfits.
I also like to use wool when I need applique pieces in my quilts.
Thanks so much for the opportunity to win.
